The Photo
Lane provides
original digital photographs for publications, web sites and prints.
The
collection
is the work of the photographer Jim Lane and focuses on the people, landscape, flora, and
fauna of the central Kentucky bluegrass region, an area world-renowned for
beautiful horse farms and stunning natural scenery (this region was listed
in National Geographic Traveler's "50 Best Places of a
Lifetime").
Images featured
include equestrian events, horse racing, historic re-enactments,
scenic landscapes, agriculture, wildflowers and more. All of The
Photo Lane images are available in various sizes of high resolution
formats suitable for printing and publication.
Early in his career Jim won a grand prize on NikonNet's Publish Your Passion contest
for his images of early morning landscapes in the Kentucky
bluegrass. Since then many of Jim's growing portfolio of
images have been published in
consumer books, school textbooks, travel/visitor guidebooks, ads, magazines,
brochures, calendars, web sites, newsletters, newspapers, and on
television in more
than twenty countries...

Creek Nature & Heritage Preserve in Kentucky. You can

Professional prints and

SmugMug.com. Rolled and mounted canvas
prints are now available in sizes 11x14, 16x20, and 20x30.
Posters, fine art prints, & giclees (individually produced,
high-resolution, high-fidelity, high tech reproduction done on a special large
format printer) on archival quality papers or canvas with custom framing are
also available from Acclaim Images (see link above).

Personal Use Downloads
Low resolution
(1 megapixels) and high resolution (4 megapixels) electronic files for many of the
images in the
photo galleries may be
purchased and downloaded directly on the gallery web pages for personal use.
Just click on the button to buy the photo as you would for a print or gift
item, then choose digital download from the selection box in the shopping
cart.
The low resolution images are great for displaying on web pages,
e-mailing to friends, or as a screen background on your home computer.
However, if you plan to make your own prints from the image you will need the high
resolution file.
Freelance Work
In addition to providing images for prints
and stock, Jim is also available for freelance photography work if
you have a requirement for some specific images not available in stock.
