The Photo Lane  provides original digital photographs for  publications, web sites  and prints.  The collection  is the work of the photographer Jim Lane and focuses on the people, landscape, flora, and fauna of the central Kentucky bluegrass region, an area world-renowned for beautiful horse farms and stunning natural scenery.   Samples of images  featured include equestrian events, horse racing, historic re-enactments, scenic landscapes, agriculture, flowers, plants, insects, animals, and much more.  Images by Jim have been published in magazines, brochures, calendars, textbooks, web sites, and newsletters in several countries of the world.

All of The Photo Lane images are available in various sizes of high resolution formats suitable for printing and publication.  The sources of these images are directly from Nikon digital cameras.   Images in all galleries are displayed in reduced size, low resolution JPEG formats.    

Prints/Photo Gift Items/Downloads

Professional prints and photo gift items for many of The Photo Lane images  displayed in the image galleries  are available for direct purchase using the services of SmugMug.com.    Just select Photo Galleries here or from the Photos menu list above to view images and make your selections.  Details of selections and prices are shown on the Pricing page.

Low resolution (1 megapixels) and high resolution (4 megapixels)  electronic files for many of the  images in the photo galleries may be purchased and downloaded directly on the gallery web pages for personal use.  Just click on the button to buy the photo as you would for a print or gift item, then choose digital download from the selection box in the shopping cart.  The low resolution images are great  for  displaying on web pages, e-mailing to friends, or as a screen background on your home computer.   However, if you plan to make your own prints  from the image you will need the high resolution file.

Rolled and mounted canvas prints are  now available in sizes 11x14, 16x20, and 20x30.  See details on the Pricing page.

Stock Images If you are looking for high resolution stock images for editorial or commercial use, select Stock Photos from the Galleries menu list above to browse samples of  images offered by The Photo Lane, or enter information in the  Search box above to hunt for your specific needs .   If you find an image you would like to license, you may  order electronic images directly from the photographer by submitting a Price Quote Request .   Only a sample of available photographs  are shown on the web.  If you do not  find what you want in the samples displayed, please submit a Photo Search Request  and we will be happy to search our entire image inventory  and let you  know  what images we have on the subject.  To search the collections of images we have listed with stock photo agencies and immediately license and download files, you can click on one  the stock photo agency icons below .
