The Photo Lane  provides original digital photographs for web sites, commercial publications, and prints.   The collection  is the work of the photographer Jim Lane and focuses on the people, landscape, flora, and fauna of the beautiful central Kentucky bluegrass region.   Samples of Images  featured include  historic re-enactments, equestrian events, horse racing, scenic landscapes, agriculture, flowers, plants, insects, animals, and much more.   A number of his Images have been published in magazines, brochures, calendars, textbooks, web sites, and newsletters in several countries of the world.

Jim  is  an accomplished photographer who has been perfecting his skills for several years.  He is  a former member of the North American Nature Photography Association, and a  Grand Prize winner of  the NikonNet "Publish Your Passion" photo contest.  Due to his excellent work Jim has  been granted free access to photograph the state-protected Lower Howard's Creek Nature and Heritage Preserve in  Kentucky.

The "photo lane"  is  an old photography term that refers to the path (lane)  that film takes across the back of a camera between the lens and pressure plate.  It is here where the light strikes the film to produce an image.
